Professional Learnings in Personal Projects

I recently took the plunge into the world of entrepreneurship by opening my very own Etsy shop. This personal creative endeavor features an array of offerings from print-on-demand (POD) creations to digital downloads and a few select custom designs. Among the custom designs are Saint Candles – a trend that involves photoshopping faces onto various bodies.

This weekend I received my first order and wanted to make an impression. Drawing inspiration from my previous experience working in the packaging realm, I ordered boxes and bubble wrap, as well as created thank you notes and confetti to both protect the item and create a slightly more elevated unboxing experience.

As the shop continues to grow I plan to refine the packaging, whether with custom stickers or getting my cards printed rather than doing it at home. But for now, I am grateful that I can take my professional learnings for personal passion projects.
