Documenting the Evolution of Downtown Las Vegas

Last week marked a significant milestone in my life as I was officially admitted into the Digital Media Design master's program at Harvard Extension School. As I eagerly continue my academic journey, I also began my third course, Advanced Digital Photography. Over the next few months, I will be immersing myself in a captivating semester-long project that will culminate in the creation of a photo book.

The subject of my project will be Downtown Las Vegas, a place brimming with history and transformation. My aim is to capture the essence of its evolution, tracing its path from the Wild West era to the vibrant destination we know today. Along this photographic journey, I hope to capture glimpses of the city's transition from a time when the mob held sway over Vegas to the glitzy and glamorous golden era.

Fortunately, my previous experience in a role that involved delving into the rich history of vintage Vegas will be invaluable to outlining my photographic narrative.

This is a creative endeavor that I haven't embarked upon since last year, when I revised a book before leaving my full-time role, and three years ago, when I worked on a children’s snowboarding-themed ABC book.

Stay tuned for updates on my progress as I bring this incredible photo book to life.
