Coming Full Circle
After finishing my undergrad, I aimed to work in social media marketing, especially in entertainment. My final internship after graduation was at Game Show Network (GSN) where I worked on web games. A few months after that, I moved to LA to join VaynerMedia. My first few accounts were entertainment, from shows on TBS, TNT, and E!. However, due to some internal changes, I ended up working on consumer packaged goods (CPG) accounts for the remainder of my time at that agency.
I always wanted to get back to entertainment. Years later during my UCLA graduate certificate, I focused on entertainment design, taking a class and doing a mentorship with an Art Director who focused in entertainment design. Through him my skills improved and I had a job offer in March 2020 for poster design, but it fell through because of the pandemic.
For the last three years, I've mostly worked on e-commerce and retail design. I have always enjoyed my projects and my portfolio proudly showcases this.
Lately, my freelancing work has brought me back to my initial goal.
A few weeks ago, I started doing design work for the Las Vegas Desert Dogs, creating social media templates and posters. It's just the beginning, and I'll share the work when it's live. But it’s interesting to look back at my career thus far and see that everything does come full circle.
