A Physical Manifestation

Five years ago, my graphic design journey began in Los Angeles. At that time I wrote down my goals on a piece of paper. Over the course of the past few years, I reached those goals:

  1. Becoming a Fulltime Designer: My first goal was straightforward – become a fulltime designer. Fast forward to today, and I can proudly say that I've not only achieved this but have also thrived.

  2. Promoted to Art Director: The second goal on my list was to climb the professional ladder and become an Art Director. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to my craft, I reached this milestone, proving that with a clear vision, anything is possible.

  3. Financial Milestone - Making X Amount of Money: Financial stability was a key aspect of my goals. Setting a specific monetary target, I dedicated myself to honing my skills and taking on projects that not only fueled my passion but also contributed to my financial growth.

I think this all came to pass because of one simple piece of paper that I stuck on my fridge. Constantly being reminded of my aspirations each day played a crucial role in keeping me focused and motivated.

So this year I decided to take it a step further. I created a new vision board, this time on a large canvas, incorporating both professional and personal goals. This statement piece now proudly adorns my walls, serving as a daily reminder of the bigger purpose I strive for.

From purchasing a home and exploring Antarctica to finishing my masters and expanding my freelance business, the board encapsulates the multifaceted nature of success.

As I glance up at the canvas, I am reminded that success is not confined to professional achievements alone – it's about striking a balance, embracing personal aspirations, and making a meaningful impact in both spheres of life.
